And leave some room in your suitcase. I always seem to come home with way more than I arrived with.

I think cruises make Egypt so much easier, especially for first-time visitors. Traveling between Luxor and Aswan independently can be done, but having everything organized is incredibly nice.
The guides bring everything to life, and you’ll learn so much more than if you explored alone.
That said, I always recommend adding extra days in Cairo. You don’t want to miss the pyramids, Saqqara, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the markets.
